Colorado Rock Festival
From swanky urban Colorado rock festival concert series to multi-genre camping jamborees, music fans in Colorado can hit all the right notes this summer. Whether you like to dance or rock out, there’s a festival for everyone, from the modern classical performers of the Denver International Chamber Music Society to the EDM and electronic juggernauts at Regenerate in Boulder. And if you’re a country lover, the three-day Country Jam in the stunning mountains of Colorado is your jam.
But despite our abundant open land and booming millennial population, there are some obstacles to Colorado’s music festival scene that may not be immediately apparent. “It’s not as easy to put on a big festival in rural areas,” says Strasburg, who cites a lack of nearby major cities with large populations of potential attendees as a hurdle. It’s challenging enough to sell out a large music festival in Denver, he says, but throw that same event in the middle of nowhere, and you can have trouble filling up cars for miles around.
