The Benefits of Mulabandha Yoga for Perineum Related Pain, Pelvic Floor Muscle Strength and Quality of Life in Healthy Women
Yoga has been found to promote health and improve quality of life. However, its effectiveness is dependent on the level of engagement. In the current study, we aimed to assess the impact of Mulabandha Yoga Therapy (MYT) on perineum related pain, pelvic floor muscle strength and quality of life in healthy women as a preventive measure.
MyT Yoga is a powerful tool that empowers veterans to take control of their recovery from posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD). It is an empirically informed, clinically tested program consisting of five practices: pranayama, asana, yoga nidra, meditation, and gratitude. The programs can be taught in a variety of settings and are designed to be incorporated into the veteran’s daily routine.
Unlocking the Power of MYT Yoga: A Holistic Guide to Mind, Body, and Soul Transformation
Suzanne Manafort founded the Mindful Yoga Therapy (MYT) organization to teach yoga to trauma survivors and help them heal with the power of their own breath. MYT offers trainings all over the world and provides free audio practices for veterans to use at the VA and at home.
Charlotte first started Bikram in 2005 out of curiosity about this “hot room” her mother was always raving about. At the time, she was ballet dancer and a volleyball player and incredibly flexible, but also asthmatic. Her first classes were torturous, but over the next few months her practice grew and she began to feel stronger, more in control of her breath, and euphoric after class. She now teaches Bikram at BYLB twice a week.
